Blue Ridge Road

Overview

Blue Ridge Road offers fantastic views and a chance to visit Mount Sizer. It's classic Coe at its best. There are a handful of way to get to the top, including the infamous "Shortcut", but once you make the long climb, there's about four miles of gentle ridge top to enjoy. One of them includes the infamous "Shortcut" which is the portion of Hobbs Road between Coyote Creek and Blue Ridge Road. This approach gains over 1500 feet of elevation in about 1.2 miles and is very steep. Before attempting a loop that includes the "Shortcut", think about if you would feel more comfortable going up or going down such a steep trail.
