The first part takes you down the pedestrian path towards the lake. From there it's a sharp left onto a nice flowing piece of singletrack along the lake shore. This leads to a little techy rock out cropping then along with some more singletrack.

At close to 2 miles, you'll hang a right, heading across a bridge to some more singletrack trails. Along the way you'll spot a seasonal waterfall. At around 3 miles you'll hit Piedras Loop that climbs onto a ridge line and into a rock garden. It's tight so pay attention.

After looping around you'll head back the way you came. Around the 5.5 mile mark, head right onto to some wider trail and wrap around towards the kiosk and another sneaky piece of singletrack that leads you back towards the staging area. But don't go back yet - instead head left and a little after the 6 mile mark, take a sharp right onto a singletrack heading uphill, continue on to the switchbacks and have fun. You'll eventually connect with the shore trail but instead of continuing around come up the double wide hill climb back towards the trailhead.
