Start at the Curry Point parking lot in Mt. Diablo State Park. Follow the fire road east. At about 1 mile take the left turn to stay on Knobcone Rd. The road has some swoopy ups and downs (no extended climbs) and can be ridden both directions pretty quickly. It is a great extension to a ride up Dan Cook, Wall Point Loop or Wall Point Road . The views are great from start to finish.<br><br>The trail ends at the locked gate at the park boundary. As of 2014, the land on the other side of the gate is owned by Save Mount Diablo. It will eventually become part of the park but, for the time being, it is not open to the public.
