Kaiser Aetna Road

Overview

A gravel/dirt road with a fair amount of elevation gain. This road is closed to the public (motor vehicles that is), but there are some ranch vehicles once in a while. The road has sweeping views of some small lakes and crosses the Pacheco Creek, where there is a pool of water that is deep enough to swim in. The road continues up toward Orestimba Corral. <br><br>If you would like to get a little closer in, check with Henry Coe on their Dowdy Ranch schedule. If this is open, it will bring you about six or seven miles further in than the normal parking at 152.
