BBQ Terrace Road

Overview

This fire road trail starts where Stage Road breaks off to go to Diablo Ranch.<br><br>It is a steep, unrelenting, mostly unshaded climb to the BBQ Terrace campground and South Gate Rd. Look for coyotes and deer up to the left. The last section of the climb is rough going - it's not technical just steep and drawn out - you know that you're getting close when you see the fence in the distance just below the ridge.<br><br>Beware the upper section of this trail is adobe mud - in the rain it will accumulate on your tires and build up until it starts to jam in the frame.... then when you hike it will build up on your shoes....<br><br>Rating for this section is GREAT - but only for the feeling that you get when you're done with it...
