I always climb up this way, but it can also be a fun, less chunky route down.<br><br>As a climb it's pretty technical, mostly due to the railroad ties that you have to get up and over. There's also a good number of ruts and rocks to get over. It may be technical, but at least it's steep too! You do get a few chances to catch your breath along the way, so take them when they come. <br><br>This trail ends up joining with the Big Rock Trail, which ends up going up to a fire road that can be taken all the way to the top of Cowles Peak.
