Ahwee Trail

Overview

This trail connects Black Mountain Ranch Park to Black Mountain Open Space Park, passing under Carmel Valley Rd. It offers expansive views, but alas, they are primarily of housing developments that encroach closer with every passing year. <br><br>This is a 3-star hike during the narrow window of March and April, particularly after a winter of good rain. Then it rapidly degrades to a 1-star hike as the entire area turns brown and eventually gray.
