This trail on the southern slope of Mt. Woodson branches off the Mt. Woodson Trail. It steeply descends into Warren Canyon through some of the dry washes. Most of the trail is very exposed and offers little shade. The view to the south is first and foremost onto Highway 67, which you can also hear throughout most of the trail. After half a mile, you reach the canyon bottom, and the trail heads back up while taking a number of turns. At 1.7 miles is another very steep section that is quite slippery given the sand and loose rock. The trail narrows and makes a sharp right turn to finally cross another dry wash and head back up through the trees. It abruptly ends at Highway 67, but there is no parking lot and no foot path that leads anywhere.
