Overview
Head west under Black Mountain Rd and hike past the stables. Continue past the sewage treatment plant along Penasquitos Creek. This trail is usually less crowded than Los Penasquitos on a weekend. With views of Poway, this trail provides access to a network of regional trails along the way to Sycamore Canyon. Be aware of flood hazards after periods of heavy rainfall as there are three bridges on this trail that can be washed out.
