From Skyline College, you'll be shocked by how quickly you can leave civilization! Begin the climb through the trees to a view of Rockaway Beach. You'll have some great ocean views during this portion of the trail. <br><br>The trail turns away from the ocean, and you view the valley below. Especially on a clear day, you'll see San Andreas Lake along with the San Francisco Bay. There will be two steep climbs that eventually lead to the top of a ridge. This is a gradual climb of about 600 feet of elevation. The path is smooth most all the way.<br><br>Once on top, you can continue on the Sweeney Ridge Trail or head down the Mori Ridge Trail. <br><br>Watch out for mountain bikers.
