From the intersection with the Butano Ridge Fire Road, take Johansen Road south. Descend toward a canyon and then traverse a hillside to an intersection with Middle Ridge Road to the southeast. Johansen Road continues to the west through mixed woods to a junction at Sandy Point, where you'll find some old railroad cars and an impressive treehouse.
