Enriquita Trail is accessed by taking the Providencia Trail detour from Mine Hill Trail. After going about 0.4 miles on Providencia Trail, one comes to Enriquita Trail.<br><br>Enriquita Trail starts off descending gradually through brush and grasslands. Almost immediately, it goes around a U-turn bend, and comes upon Providencia Pond below, to the left of the trail. Shortly after passing Providencia Pond, as Enriquita Trail continues to descend, the brush becomes denser and intermingled with wooded sections. <br><br>After going around a second U-turn bend, Enriquita Trail reaches its destination, a piece of old mining equipment, in this area that was the site of the old Enriquita Mine, a cinnabar (mercury ore) mine.<br><br>Views of Guadalupe Reservoir below and the Santa Cruz Mountains can be seen from this scenic trail.
