From the trailhead, you'll descend gradually. Look for a T-intersection with Quartz Mountain Trail on your left after about 1/4 mile. From here, the trail descends a bit more steeply down toward the lake. Chiquito Pass breaks off on your left, or you can go down further toward the lake on Chiquito Creek Trail.<br><br>Much of this access trail lies within Sierra National Forest, though the lake is part of Ansel Adams Wilderness. Dogs are allowed, but leave Fido at home if you are planning to cross into Yosemite National Park.
