From the Hetherrington Trail (just off Donner Canyon Road), the Bruce Lee Spring Trail climbs steadily through oak woodlands before passing a T-junction with the Donner Trail. From there the Bruce Lee Spring Trail continues through chaparral to end at Clayton Oaks Road.
