The first part of the trail is wide and popular with families and hikers as it heads west toward Sword Way Trail. However, if you turn south on the Gonzalez Canyon Trail: South section, the trail becomes very narrow singletrack to Highway 56. <br><br>You can access very popular trails without hiking on Carmel Valley Road or to the parking spaces at the Hwy 56-Carmel Valley Road exit.
