Overview
From Hihn Hammond Road, hike north and cross the Skyline to the Sea Trail and the Sunset Trail. This section of Middle Ridge Road is popular for making a short loop hike on the Skyline to the Sea and Sunset trails. <br><br>From here, the trail continues into the much less traveled northern reaches of Big Basin Redwoods State Park.<br><br>After crossing the Dool Trail, the forest gives way to chaparral and pines with some good views. The trail descends back into the redwoods and passes a junction with the Meteor Trail on the right. From there, the trail climbs again to a junction with the Hollow Tree Trail Connector and then ends a short while later at Johansen Road.
