With 600ft of elevation change in just under 0.7 miles, it makes for an average gradient of about 16%. This trail is tiered, however, so there are flatter sections and several much steeper sections - one entailing exposed sandstone at >25% <br><br>In the downhill direction, it's such a steep descent it is not very comfortable for hiking. Uphill, it's a great trail to retest your max heart rate. Not the best scenery, mostly wooded and dry. Note: bikes are allowed on this trail.
