This trail is a newer part of Alum Rock. This trail could use some love; if you'd like to help, there are trail workdays most second Saturdays.

There are nice views of the Bay Area from the top. There was a fire in July 2017, which burned the western part of the trail. Most of the plants that were there in earlier photos are now gone, but the restoration site at the top of the trail is still okay, as are the oak trees near the top of the western part of the trail.

Where you get to the top of the trail, by the entrance to Sierra Vista, there is a picnic table to rest at under a few large eucalyptus trees.
Meadow of mostly invasives, including Poison Hemlock and Mustard.
California Poppies at the top of the Todd Quick Trail.
