Harrington Creek Trail

Overview

Harrington Creek Trail is one of the trails in La Honda Creek Open Space Preserve. The public access of this trail is from Sears Ranch Road. The northern portion of the La Honda Creek Open Space Preserve is also open, but requires a permit in advance.

The trail is wide and well marked. About 3.2 miles from the parking area, there is a junction, where the Harrington Creek Trail continues slightly left and the Folger Ranch Loop Trail goes slightly right.

There are several areas for cattle grazing, some are separated by cattle gates and others are not. A large number of cows on the trail can make it difficult to cross.

This trail is probably good to visit in winter and spring when the grass pastures are green and wildflowers are blossoming. In summer, it is recommended to start early to avoid heat as there is little shade on the trail.
