Starting from the parking lot, you can take the trail in either direction. You should be able to see the parking lot from most of the trail since this segment of Arastradero contains little tree or plant coverage.<br><br>This trail is completely exposed, so make sure you wear sunscreen and/or a hat!
The trail winds along the hills at the edge of the Arastradero Preserve. Clouds hang on the surrounding mountains during a light rainstorm.
Fields of clover cover the area in the spring, and enjoy the rain that makes the area green in the winter and spring.

The trail as it skirts the back portion of the preserve. The trail rolls with the hills in the area, making for a great outing.
