Bay Area Ridge Trail: Redwood and Anthony Chabot Regional Park

Overview

Follow the East Bay Skyline National Recreation Trail along the ridgeline of the East Bay Hills to a broad valley, taking in views of rolling Contra Costa County ridges. You travel wide trails through second-growth redwoods, descend into a wooded canyon, and climb to open grasslands. Forested segments provide relief from warm sun or fog on open ridgetops.

This trail description is excerpted from the 2019 Bay Area Ridge Trail Guidebook.
