The Deep Gulch Trail starts at the Hacienda entrance to Quicksilver Park. It climbs for a little over a mile to meet up with the English Camp Trail, where Deep Gulch Trail ends.

From its trailhead, Deep Gulch Trail follows the Deep Gulch stream bed for about a mile. Here, the trail is in dense woods, on a steep side of the gulch. It is not quite at the bottom of the gulch, but close to the bottom. Basically, it is a dark, densely wooded trail, without many views.

About a mile from the Deep Gulch Trail trailhead, Deep Gulch Trail crosses the Deep Gulch stream bed and veers right. It then climbs out of the thick woods over its last quarter mile to meet up with the English Camp Trail.
From the thick woods down in the Deep Gulch Trail, the view looks across Deep Gulch to hills on the other side of the gulch (lighter green through the trees).
The Hacienda Entrance to Quicksilver Park features the site of the old Hacienda Furnace and Reduction Works. In the lower right, a display of old mining machinery greets visitors to the park.
