Hump Trail

Overview

This trail will lead you up to Heather Lake on a steeper ascent than Watchtower Trail. The way up is fairly strenuous, but once you have reached the top, you can get a few good views. <br><br>The trail zigzags a number of times until it keeps going up straight. Most of the trail will lead you through the forest where you don't really have a nice view. Once you reach the ridge, you can look into the valley that Marble Fork Kaweah River has carved over time, with Mt. Silliman on the left. <br><br>After crossing the ridge, the trail quickly zigzags down again to merge with Watchtower Trail and the greater Lakes Trail.
