From the Nimitz Way Trail, The Wildcat Peak Trail embarks on a pleasant, gentle climb to the summit of Wildcat Peak. Before you reach the top, you'll pass the Rotary Peace Grove, which makes for a great spot to eat your lunch and enjoy the view. <br><br>After cresting Wildcat Peak, the trail begins a steady descent down the hill through abundant eucalyptus and sage undergrowth. If you want to experience the views from this part of the trail at their peak, be sure to make your descent during sundown\u2014the sage and eucalyptus almost glow in the golden afternoon light.<br><br>After passing the junction with the Sylvan Trail, the trail continues descending switchbacks to reach its end in a junction with the Wildcat Creek Trail.
