The river crossing near the Twin Redwoods and Alder trail camps is seasonal\u2014they pull the bridge out during the season. Sometimes, you can cross on a downed tree, but the Skyline to the Sea Trail may be blocked a downed tree and not maintained during the winter. If taking the trail is not an option, then staying on the road is the way to go.
