This regional trail extends from Lafayette Ridge Staging Area in the southeast corner of Briones Regional Park to Macedo Ranch Staging Area on the west side of Mt. Diablo State Park. <br><br>This trail is managed by the East Bay Regional Park District but crosses land owned by other jurisdictions. Its design varies from paved path to community sidewalk to dirt road to singletrack dirt trail. In addition to Briones Regional Park and Mt. Diablo State Park, it connects Acalanes Ridge Open Space, Shell Ridge Open Space, Walden Park, San Miguel Park, Heather Farm Park, and Larkey Park (including Lindsay Wildlife Experience) of the City of Walnut Creek; Diablo Foothills Regional Park; and the Contra Costa Canal Regional Trail and the Iron Horse Regional Trail. <br><br>See their <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://www.ebparks.org/parks/trails/briones_mtdiablo">website</a> for complete information.<br><br>The paved portions of this trail are wheelchair-accessible.
