From the Seaview Trailhead, the trail descends gradually. There's a rest bench at the high point with breathtaking views of San Francisco Bay. The first portion of the trail from the ridgetop viewpoint is steeper, rockier, and more exposed, but as you descend, the trails become more shaded and less steep in the lower section. You'll hike past the junction with the Quarry Trail and Big Springs Trail, until coming to a road crossing. The trail here is more of a fire road. Cross Wildcat Canyon Road and continue on a short section of singletrack to the trail's junction with the Curran Trail.
