Park in the large dirt parking area on the SE corner of the 4 way junction at the top of Cachuma Saddle. From the saddle, follow the paved Figueroa Mountain road uphill for just shy of 3.5 miles. The road climbs continuously but never very steeply. Views to the south of the Santa Ynez Valley and Santa Ynez mountains quickly take your breath away. Use caution on the road, especially on spring weekends, as this is a popular area for spring wildflower viewing.

The large dirt pull out at the top of the hill makes a great place to stand up, have a snack and drop your seat for the descent. Start down the dirt East Pinery Road keeping a sharp eye to the right for the beginning of the white rock trail.

Drop down the white rock trail twisting and turning your way through a mixture of meadows and shrubs. (See White Rock Trail description for specifics)

The end of the White Rock Trail puts you back on the paved Sunset Valley Road. Take a right and spin uphill for about a half mile until you're back at the car.
This is the top of the climb on Figueroa Mtn Road. The East Pinery Road heads off to the right here.
Narrow singletrack through the meadows.
