Dos Vientos Tour

Overview

Start riding from the parking area across from Cypress Elementary School on Kimber Drive. Ride pavement a short distance on Havenside and cut through the back side of Cypress Park and make a right onto Mountain Creek Drive. Head west and then jump on the Oak Ridge Trail, climbing up switchbacks.

Make a right at the intersection with Potrero Ridge Trail (Reino Trail). This section has punchy climbs and downhills, crossing Via Las Brisas to link up with Sierra Vista Trail. Also known as Ridgeline, Sierra Vista climbs and follows a ridge over to Rancho Dos Vientos Drive. This section of the ride is a mix of singletrack and old fire road.

Cross Rancho Dos Vientos Drive and stay right to link up El Cerro Trail and Las Brisas Trail to the El Cerro - Cottontail Connector on an east traverse. Turn right on Cottontail and right again on Sumac, looping back to the west. You'll end up climbing to the ridge on Sierra Vista Trail once more.

Make the quick out-and-back on Vista Del Mar South for the view. On the return, stay left at Rancho Dos Vientos Drive to a left on Via Ricardo. Rideers can traverse across the bottom of the Vista Del Mar North for a short detour. Keep pedaling north and jump on the Park View Trail.

At the bottom of the descent, complete a short climb and then cut left around the Dos Vientos Community Park until it reaches the Borchard Trail. This easy descent will lead to a pedestrian tunnel that connects to the short Sycamore Park Trail singletrack.

At the edge of the park, turn left onto Via Mirabella road and then take a right on Via Laguna to reach the El Encanto Trail for the last little bit of singletrack. One last grunt of a climb will take you to a sweet descent to finish the ride.
