When it's not doing service as a cross-country course, this trail is a popular route for riders. The course is the only marked trail in the network and sports faint white arrows painted on rocks. Many riders use the four distinct sections of the course combined with other trails to make their own ride. The trail and two road sections that make up this course are: Southridge Entrance Trail, Long View Drive Access Road, Southridge Upper Loop, Southridge Lower Loop, Elm Avenue Access Spur, and the Southridge Exit Trail.

From the parking lot, follow the Southridge Entrance Trail as it gradually meanders to the paved Long View Drive Access Road. When you're roughly parallel with the water tank, head left onto the Southridge Upper Loop for some steady and at times tricky climbs that unlock a fun descent with a few technical rock gardens.

Where the singletrack ends on the road, turn right and then left to head toward the water tank. On the left, you'll spot the Southridge Lower Loop. The singletrack winds past the tank on a steady climb to some doubletrack on the ridge. Cross over it for a brief descent and short climb to reach the next downhill section.

Things get started with fun, flowy turns and a small wood bridge. Up next is a 4-5 foot rock drop that rides easier than it looks. Just make sure to scope things out first. After that, is a waterfall like section that fades to more twisty flow and a punchy climb. At the end, follow the Elm Avenue Access Spur up to the left. The course continues on the Southridge Exit Trail for a mostly dirt road pedal back to the trailhead.

If you're riding for fun and not training, many riders prefer to continue up the Elm Avenue Access Spur to take another crack at the loops.
