Start at the parking lot for the Cheeseboro Trail System. To start, you'll head up the Palo Comado Canyon Trail. Though it's long, you'll stick with it nearly five miles and all the way to the top of the ridgeline.

Shortly after, you'll meet up with the Sheep Corral Trail, which has a small entry to it on the right and is marked with a sign. Follow that up, staying towards the left at the beginning. From there, it's some quick switchbacks that are easy breezy. Once you get into the valley, it's all singletrack for a while.

This is where you get pretty remote until you link up with the Las Virgenes Canyon Fire Road. If you get tired, you can cut out early onto the Cheeseboro Canyon Trail or Cheeseboro Ridge Trail, both will take you back to the parking lot.

If you're looking to complete the loop, continue on the Sheep Corral Trail to where it meets with the Upper Las Virgenes Canyon Trail. After following this doubletrack for a while, you'll eventually meet back up with the Cheeseboro Ridge and Las Virgenes Canyon Connector, which will then take you to the Cheeseboro Canyon Trail and your car.
