A well taken care of trail, Coachwhip has a very steady incline, which attracts climbers, and MOST riders seem to love this climb. <br><br>However, it makes for a nice downhill as well but given the uphill traffic, consider yourself lucky if you get a clean downhill run. Remember, downhill traffic must always yield to climbers, so this might not be worth it on a busy day. <br><br>As a downhill, there are shoveled and banked turns, and a few jumps along the way. The trail crosses back and forth over the ridge, so there are some cool changes of direction.<br><br>Portions of Coachwhip traverse a north-facing slope, where the flora is pretty thick around the twisted trail. Look for bushes and small branches slapping at your hands/arms/legs.<br><br>At the bottom of the canyon is a convergence of three trails: Coachwhip, Yucca Ridge, and Bumble Bee.
