The trail begins right at the end of Santa Rosa, heading first uphill and then back down to Wildwood Avenue. From the exit, one can either continue down the hill and right on Big Sky Drive to return to the main parking lot or head up the hill to reconnect with Santa Rosa. The trail features a few particularly rocky and steep sections, but most of it is rather mellow.
