If you want to avoid paying the $10 parking fee and still enjoy the beauty of Malibu State Park, you can access the area by parking on Mulholland Highway and hiking the Grassland Trail.<br><br>On Earth Day 2016, CORBA and SMMTC helped open a new part of the trail that bypasses an old steep section. Besides having a shallower grade, the new bypass has better views and is much safer than the old segment.
