Overview
This is one of a number of trails in Griffith Park that skirts a ridgeline with many beautiful views and tough climbs along the way. The East Ridge (Hogback) Trail starts south of Glendale Peak at the eastern junction with the Riverside Trail. <br><br>The trail begins gradually as it circumnavigates Glendale Peak around the south and west slopes. Continuing north, you'll pass Henry's Trail, which is a short spur to the top of Glendale Peak. From this intersection, the East Ridge Trail heads northwest for three-quarters of a mile, passing the turn off for the Lower Mount Hollywood Trail, which accesses Dante's View. <br><br>The trail comes to its end at a junction with a larger fire road and the Mount Hollywood Summit Trail.
