This trail begins as an unsigned turn-off from the Davy Brown Trail. The trail appears after 2 miles of hiking the Davy Brown Trail southward from the Davy Brown Campground. The Willow Spur Trail climbs gradually for nearly 6/10ths of a mile over a forested hillside before quickly descending for 3/10ths of a mile to a junction with the Willow Spring Trail. At this point the Willow Spur Trail ends, but you can join the Willow Spring Trail to summit Figueroa Mountain.
